Option: Aliasdomains

What is an alias domain?

A so-called “alias domain” is a domain name that is assigned to your account at Mailix and can be managed by you. You can therefore create and use email addresses in the alias domain in the same way as with your main domain.

An alias domain is an additional service with costs. You can add as many alias domains of any type to each Mailix package without any limit.

There are 2 types of alias domains:

Alias domain as a mirror domain of the main domain.

Such an alias domain cannot be managed separately from the main domain. It mirrors the main domain. All e-mail addresses are therefore accessible both in the main domain and in the alias domain. Incoming messages go to the corresponding mailbox of the main domain. Perfect if you need your domain name in different domain types for business reasons, for example. So e.g. as .de, .at and .com variant.

While mailboxes are automatically mirrored, alias addresses in the alias domain currently need to be set up separately if you want to have the alias address in the alias domain mirrored as well.

Alias domain as independent domain

Such an alias domain is independent of the main domain and can be managed with the same functions as the main domain. Thus, you can set up any mailboxes in both the one and the other domain. The mailboxes could also have the same name and still serve separate mailboxes.
