Backup, Backup and Backup

Unfortunately, nobody is protected from disasters. As a precaution against unpleasant incidents of any kind, we regularly make backup copies of all data stored with us, which we also store in a secure place outside of our data center.

Of course, all backup copies are encrypted as well.

Cold Standby Server

As a further security measure, we operate a permanently mirrored (synchronized) copy of each of our mail servers (a so-called “cold standby server”), which automatically takes over if the active mail server should fail due to a technical problem with itself or its Internet connection.

This way, even in the event of a server failure, your mailbox remains online and permanently available.

Conclusion:

Recovery of accidentally deleted mailboxes

If you have accidentally deleted a mailbox and after deletion need messages that were stored in the mailbox, we can restore deleted mailboxes up to 14 days after deletion for a service fee upon request. Simply open a support ticket specifying the mailbox address and deletion date.
