  1. Open the Email app at your Android smartphone or tablet.
  2. If this is your first email account, tap ‘Add Account’; if not, tap ‘More’ and ‘Settings’ and then ‘Add account’.
  3. Select ‘Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync’.
  4. Enter the email address and password of your mail account.
  5. Tap ‘Sign in’.

If the setup of your Android smartphone fails with the above instructions, delete the mailbox whose setup failed from your email app on the smartphone and do the setup, as described here, manually.
Unfortunately, ActiveSync does not work equally well with all Android smartphones and your smartphone may be affected.
