Mailix is a full-service email service provider. You choose your desired domain name for your email address and we take care of the rest. We also register and manage your domain name for you. We set up the entire e-mail infrastructure for you, so that the e-mail traffic of your family or your company works smoothly, securely and reliably. We offer you an easy to use administration interface, where you can manage your existing email addresses at any time via any browser, set up new mail addresses as mailbox or alias forwarding. Last but not least, we also offer you 2 different webmail interfaces, by means of which you can view, receive and send your e-mail messages from anywhere in the world via any browser. As an additional feature, you can optionally synchronize an address book and calendar through us, so that all family members or company employees are always on the same status. And all your own devices too.

In addition, with Mailix, your email address belongs to you. And only you. We manage your email system and domain name as long as you have a contract with us. But even if we part ways: The email address and domain name stays with you.

Mailix has a strong focus on outbound and inbound email delivery. We think that while anyone can run an email server, getting an email delivered successfully and reliably to Google, Hotmail, Outlook and co. with their own email server is often a real art.

Who is Mailix?

Mailix was founded in 2019 by Heinz Schwab after he repeatedly observed problems with email addresses and email accounts. For example, access to important online accounts is often lost because a formerly used email address is no longer active. Or e-mail messages are lost, not delivered or cannot be sent. Not to mention the problems with viruses or the enormous volume of unwanted e-mail messages (SPAM).

Email has been around since the beginning of the Internet and it was originally a very simple, but insecure and unprotected way of sending messages. So you could (or with sufficiently unsecured servers you still can) send messages with any sender address to any recipient (or to millions of recipients at once). This leaves the door wide open for abuse. Nevertheless, e-mail is still the most common and important messaging system on the internet today. However, due to the ongoing addition of many useful security and safeguarding measures, it is becoming increasingly complicated to set up an accepted mail server and use email reliably. One small error or omission and messages can no longer be sent and received reliably.

Mailix was founded to offer individuals, families and companies a simple way to own their own email address consistently for life (to be able to dispose of it freely without restriction) and to be able to send and receive messages reliably, smoothly and securely. Regular messages sent to you will be received reliably, unsolicited and virus-infected messages will be rejected. Regular messages sent by you will arrive reliably in the recipient’s mailbox and are not disqualified as SPAM. All this simply works without having to think about it.

Mailix specializes in personal, family or company email messages. If you want to send many transactional or promotional messages, please use a provider that specializes in that. We will be happy to recommend someone upon request. Sending promotional messages in bulk is even prohibited in our T&Cs.

Can a smaller company be trusted?

Sometimes customers think whether it is a good idea to entrust such an important service as “e-mail” to a smaller provider. But it is exactly the opposite: large companies are generally more prone to errors and less specialized. While mistakes can happen from time to time even in smaller companies, they are usually discovered and solved faster than in larger companies.
