Automatic SPAM/Trash cleaning
In order not to overload the used quota of a mailbox unnecessarily, Mailix automatically cleans the “Junk” and “Trash” folders of each mailbox according to the following rules:
All email messages in the JUNK folder are automatically deleted if they have been
- moved to it more than 10 weeks ago OR
- have not been viewed for more than 5 weeks
All email messages in the TRASH folder are automatically deleted if they have been
- received more than 2 weeks ago
Please do not store email messages you want to keep in the JUNK or TRASH folders. Move the messages to any other folder to avoid automatic deletion after the above timeout.
