Rejected by Mailix

Your mail was rejected by Mailix

Mailix may refuse to accept email messages entirely (reject) if the message or the mail server that delivers it to us does not comply exactly with the current RFC guidelines that exist for secure worldwide email transport.

Extensive checks are performed before a message is being delivered into a mailbox at Mailix. In some cases, the message may not be completely rejected, but may be delivered with a “SPAM” flag.

We do not accept and completely reject messages for all these reasons (among others):

Problems with the sending mail server:

  • Your mail server is sending from a dynamic IP address.
  • The name of the mail server according to the IP address does not exist in the public DNS
  • The name of the mail server according to its IP address does not match the reverse IP record of its IP address
  • The reverse IP record of the IP address does not match the name of the mail server according to the IP address.
  • The mail server (name or IP) is on a blacklist
  • The mail server sends commands before it is requested to do so (pregreet)
  • The mail server announces an encrypted transmission, but then makes a plaintext transmission
  • The mail server announces an encrypted transmission, but does not comply with it as expected
  • The encryption protocols used are outdated or too insecure.
  • The mail server does not say who it is at the start of contact
  • The name announced by the mail server for itself does not comply with the naming standard for Internet names.
  • The name announced by the mail server for itself does not exist or is not set up to receive email.
  • The domain name of the name announced by the mail server for itself does not match the domain name in its name according to the IP address

Problems with email addresses in the envelope or header of the message:

  • Mailix is not responsible for receiving or sending the message (does not know the domain).
  • The sender’s domain or email address is on a blacklist
  • The recipient email address does not exist at Mailix
  • The domain of the sender email address is not set up to receive email
  • The sender e-mail address does not match the mailbox name registered with the mail server or is not authorized to be sent by it
  • The sender e-mail address does not exist or is not formatted according to RFC guidelines.
  • The sender e-mail address is known to be a SPAM sender.
  • The mail server responsible for the sender e-mail address is known to be a SPAM sender
  • The domain of the recipient email address is not set up to receive email
  • The recipient e-mail address is not formatted according to RFC guidelines

Problems with the content of the message:

  • The message contains a virus
  • An attachment of the message contains a dangerous macro/script
  • The message is larger than 50 Mb
  • The message contains too many common characteristics of SPAM
  • The domain name of an Internet link in the message is blacklisted
  • The domain name of an Internet link in the message is known as a phishing site.
  • The domain name of an Internet link in the message is known to be a spammer
